Minor in Sport Management and Recreation Studies (21 Hours)

The Sport Management and Recreation Studies minor is open to students majoring in any discipline other than Sport Management and Recreation Studies. The minor serves as an ideal minor for business and communication majors and interdisciplinary studies majors as one of the of the three disciplines required for study. Students pursuing the minor will be exposed to courses in a variety of recreation and sport settings including community sport programs, professional and college sports, outdoor recreation, and therapeutic recreation. Course requirements include LS 191 and LS 391 and the remaining hours from the following: LS 276, LS 292, LS 295, LS 297, LS 300, LS 375, LS 384, LS 394, LS 395, LS 397, LS 468, LS 479, LS 486, LS 490 KIN 278, and KIN 478.
